Interviewer: You’re the first external company to move into DSI – why?
David: There’s a multitude of factors… the main reason is we want to take advantage of the talent Keele is producing, particularly students specialising in data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
That aligns with our plans to grow our solution offerings which we can present to our large corporate customers. We predominantly work with the office of Finance, so solutions around financial reporting, budgeting, planning and forecasting, and the data analytics around operations.
We specialise in converting data into information that allows our customers to make meaningful business decisions. So, with the emerging technology that the University is investing in, for example through the masters programs, that very much fits with our strategic goals.
We are really pleased with the space, it’s an attractive place to work, so hopefully it will attract more students to come and join our team. We have taken on three graduates so far and we are taking on a couple more by the summer.
